Is it possible for a Shuswap hot sauce maker to compete in the land of hot saucery - New Mexico? You better believe i! Denzels Gourmet Foods, a six month old company that works out of our Industrial Park's Community Kitchen, received third place in the World Beat category of the Scovie Awards. The awards were announced Nov. 1 at the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show in Albuquerque. Head chef Denzel Sandberg said over 500 products competed at this big event. Show organizer Dave DeWitt said "it's not so much about heat as about the wonderful flavours of fiery food."
